2020 Toyota RAV4: Still a winner

Toyota’s managed to elevate the all-new 2020 Toyota RAV4 to an entirely new level with a lineup that not only offers comfort and convenience, but also off-road and hybrid options. With over 10 models to choose from in the RAV4 lineup, there really is something for everyone and every budget.

Across the entire lineup, the 2020 Toyota RAV4 is equipped with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 203 horsepower and is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission. However, the four hybrid models feature a Hybrid Synergy Drive system along with the 2.5L for a net horsepower of 219 horsepower, and an available electric on-demand all-wheel drive.

As a segment leader, the 2020 Toyota RAV4 offers a host of standard features like a 7” colour touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, backup camera, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring and heated front seats. Climb up to the Limited trim level of the 2020 RAV4 and you’ll discover amenities like heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a standard 8” colour touchscreen, birds eye all-around view monitor, a digital display rearview mirror, and a hands-free power back door.

Nearly all of the gas-powered RAV4 models feature something called Multi-Terrain Select which makes traversing mud, snow, and rocks that much easier as it adjust the suspension and power delivery to each wheel to ensure stability on the selected surface.

Now, if it’s off-roading you want to do with your 2020 RAV4, you’ll want to look to their RAV4 Trail versions. With two models in the lineup, Trail and TRD OFF-ROAD, these specific models were designed to handle the toughest road conditions and really help you on your weekend adventures. The RAV4 Trail model features mudguards and unique badging, along with standard dynamic torque vectoring all-wheel drive, rear driveline disconnect and all-terrain capability. The TRD OFF-ROAD version features exclusive 18” TRD alloy wheels as well as OFF-ROAD tune suspension, LED fog lamps and TRD badging.

Of course, the 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid models (of which there are four), feature the same amenities as the gas-powered models, but with a combined estimated 900km of driving range.
