Powering the 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback is a 2.0-litre inline-four cylinder that delivers 168 horsepower, more than what you find in a Honda Civic hatchback or Mazda3 Sport. The standard six-speed manual gearbox features rev-matching technology, another exclusive feature in the segment. If you opt for the CVT gearbox, you get all of the efficiency benefits without compromising performance thanks to a simulated 10-speed shift map.
Both these gearboxes deliver exceptional fuel economy with the CVT averaging 6.7 litres per 100 kilometres and the six-speed manual offering 7.5 litres per 100 kilometres.
The 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback also offers a range of active safety technologies through the Toyota Safety System 2.0.
