The goal here is to help parents who are looking for a vehicle for their teenager make the best decision. In order to rank each vehicle, the IIHS and Consumer Reports used a wide range of factors including safety ratings from the IIHS, reliability ratings from Consumer Reports, and other factors such as braking distance.
This list is very appealing as it brings together vehicles that meet the criteria that are important for most parents. And because Toyota vehicles routinely stand out for their reliability, dependability, and for their safety, it isn't surprising that we find multiple vehicles on this list.
These vehicles include the Toyota Corolla Hatchback, the Toyota Prius V, the Toyota Highlander, and the Toyota Sienna.
