The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime starting at $ 44,990

The 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime will be available starting at $ 44,990 and will start arriving as early as August, Toyota announced today. It will be offered in three versions.

The base RAV4 Prime SE will get 18-inch rims, heated front and rear seats, dual-zone air conditioning, blind spot monitoring, Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 and an 8-inch center screen, among others.

A panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, power tailgate with foot activation, ventilated seats, 9-inch center display, 19-inch rims, Softex leather seats and adaptive headlights are cataloged in XSE and XSE models. Technology offered starting at $ 51,590 and $ 56,990 respectively.

In other words, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime has the features of some of the most luxurious SUVs out there at a price that makes a lot of sense, especially given the specs of its powertrain.

Powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain that draws its power from an 18.1 kWh battery, the Toyota RAV4 Prime develops 302 horsepower and can reach 100 km/h in just 6 seconds. It can also tow up to 2,500 lbs which is more than any RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid except the RAV4 Trail.

It also offers a range of 68 kilometers which is greater than that offered in the Outlander PHEV and Ford Escape PHEV.

“Our goal for 2025 is to have an electrified option on every model we sell and that these vehicles represent 40 percent of our sales. We will achieve this by delivering a winning combination of performance, style and price,” said Cyril Dimitris, vice president of Toyota Canada Inc. The Toyota RAV4 Prime is a prime example of our no-compromise approach to electrified vehicles, with a view to offering appreciable advantages to drivers”.
