With twelve separate models to choose from, the 2023 Toyota Tacoma is one of the vehicles that offers the most configurability on the market. Here is how you can make the best choice according to your wants and needs.
The different cab and bed lengths
One of the first considerations you will have to have when preparing to buy a 2023 Toyota Tacoma is choosing between the two cab formats and the two bed lengths. The Access Cab is the smaller of the two cabs and it is suitable only for four passengers due to its small size. The larger Double cab is recommended if you need to transport people on a regular basis since it gives everyone on board more interior space than the Access cab. No matter which cabin is chosen, the Tacoma can be specified with either a 5-foot or a 6-foot bed depending on customer preferences and needs.
The Standard and SR5
The Standard and the SR5 are the two entry-level versions of the 2023 Toyota Tacoma and they accomplish their role by offering many desirable features for a relatively affordable price. These models are equipped with features such as a 7-inch infotainment display, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, as well as all of the features that are part of the Toyota Safety Sense package.
The TRD models
The 2023 Toyota Tacoma is available in one of six TRD trim levels. Ranging from TRD Sport to TRD Pro, each subsequent model is more rugged and ready for off-roading than the last due to larger wheels and more complete equipment lists. These models can include features such as a raised suspension with Bilstein or Fox dampers and off-road tires.
The new Nightshade model
The 2023 Toyota Tacoma Nightshade is a new trim level that has been added this year. This version, offered only with the Double Cab and the 5-foot bed, is distinguished by its lack of external brightwork, which is instead replaced with gloss black elements that give a more dynamic and distinctive look to the truck.
