The all-new Toyota Crown 2023 introduced to the market today is a bold and beautiful premium sedan that offers drivers powerful accelerations, confident handling with supreme comfort for a unique and exclusive driving experience. This new vehicle also has an advanced HYBRID MAX hybrid system which delivers impressive performance paired with remarkable efficiency.
Two impressive hybrid engines in the 2023 Toyota Crown
The 2023 Crown offers two hybrid powertrains, with one being focused on performance while the other offering owners the traditional combination of efficiency and usable power that you will appreciate every day. The HYBRID MAX offers an impressive 340 net horsepower and can be found only in the Platinum grade in the new Crown lineup.
The other available powertrain is standard on the XLE and Limited trim. This particular engine pairs a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric powertrain.
The 2023 Toyota Crown isn’t just powerful, it’s also very efficient. The entry-level engine averages just 6.2 litres per 100 kilometres while the more powerful HYBRID MAX engine, despite having well over 300 horsepower, averages just 8.4 litres per 100 kilometres.
All-wheel drive stability and performance
There are two all-wheel drive systems available in the 2023 Toyota Crown. The first is an E-Four AWD system which is paired with the Toyota Hybrid System II engine. This system in normal conditions sends 100% of the available torque to the front wheels, but it is also possible to send up to 80% to the rear axle as needed. The E-Four Advanced AWD system paired with the HYBRID MAX engine delivers power to the front and rear wheels continuously, sending 70% of the available torque to the front and 30% to the rear in regular conditions. If conditions get more difficult, the engine can send up to 80% of the available torque to the rear wheels.
The Toyota Crown’s personality can be tailored with four different modes: Normal, Eco, EV, and Sport. When in Sport mode it improves responsiveness to make hybrid driving more fun while the Eco mode adjusts all of the settings to ensure optimal efficiency. The EV (Electric Vehicle) Mode allows for low-speed electric-only trips under certain conditions.
The Platinum model adds three modes including SPORT+, Comfort, and Custom. The SPORT+ is the most impressive mode and enhances the performance, while Comfort gives you the most refined settings. Lastly, Custom mode allows you to adjust various parameters individually to get the exact behavior you want from the Crown.
The Toyota Crown provides outstanding comfort with its 8-way power adjustable driver and front passenger seats. The adjustments include slide, recline, tilt, height, adjustable lumbar support (driver seat only) as well as a range of other features such as heated seats front and back, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate, advanced safety technology, and impressive connectivity features including the latest Toyota multimedia system.
