The bZ Woodland will feature a dual-motor electric powertrain with motors housed in the front and rear eAxles. This setup delivers a combined system output of 375 horsepower, providing strong acceleration and confident passing power on Ontario highways. The standard All-Wheel Drive system distributes power intelligently between the front and rear wheels for enhanced traction in rain, snow, and off-road conditions.
The X-MODE system allows drivers to select a mode that automatically adjusts brake control and power delivery based on road conditions. When activated at low speeds, the Grip-Control feature modulates motor power to maintain traction on rough surfaces, helping prevent wheel slip on gravel, dirt, or uneven terrain. With a low centre of gravity thanks to the battery pack positioned flat under the floor, the bZ Woodland delivers stable handling and a smooth, confident ride.
The bZ Woodland will be equipped with a 74.7-kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a manufacturer-estimated all-electric driving range of up to 418 kilometres. This range makes trips from Whitby to Muskoka, Algonquin Park, or other Ontario destinations practical without range anxiety.
The standard North American Charging System (NACS) port provides access to thousands of DC fast charging stations across Ontario. Under ideal conditions, the bZ Woodland can charge from 10% to 80% battery capacity in approximately 30 minutes using DC fast charging. A pre-conditioning function brings the battery to an optimal temperature for faster charging in colder climates—this function can be activated manually or automatically by setting the navigation system to a fast-charging station.
For home or workplace charging, the bZ Woodland will support Level One and Level Two AC charging with an 11-kW onboard AC charger. Steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters allow drivers to activate and adjust regenerative braking, capturing energy during deceleration and transferring it back to the battery.
The bZ Woodland's exterior styling takes Toyota's signature "hammerhead" front end and adds wide black overfenders for a powerful, adventure-ready stance. Measuring 140 mm longer and 20 mm taller in the rear than the standard bZ, the Woodland provides more than 850 litres of rear cargo space—ideal for camping gear, sports equipment, or luggage for a weekend getaway.
Standard roof rails provide additional versatility for carrying bikes, kayaks, or rooftop cargo boxes. The bZ Woodland's unique 18-inch aluminum wheels feature removable covers for a modern yet rugged appearance, and All-Terrain tires are available on the Premium Package for drivers who frequently encounter rough roads or unpaved trails.
Inside, the cabin offers ample room for passengers with precision-placed controls and a Multi Information Display screen that shows speed, estimated range, and charging status. The 14-inch Toyota Multimedia touchscreen is positioned for easy visibility and access, integrating wireless smartphone connectivity and voice-activated controls. Interior colour options include Stone Brown and Black SofTex upholstery, reinforcing the Woodland's outdoor-focused character.
The bZ Woodland will come standard with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, Toyota's comprehensive suite of active safety and driver assistance technologies. This system uses a combination of millimeter-wave radar and a monocular camera to monitor driving conditions and support safer journeys.
Key Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 features include:
Additional standard safety features include Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Safe Exit Alert (which detects approaching vehicles or cyclists when occupants are exiting), and the Panoramic View Monitor with Multi-Terrain Monitor for enhanced visibility around the vehicle. Toyota's Star Safety System—including Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Brake System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, and Smart Stop Technology—is also standard.
Every bZ Woodland will feature the Toyota Multimedia system with a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto compatibility. The system supports dual Bluetooth phone connectivity and includes HD Radio, USB data ports, and a SiriusXM 3-month trial subscription.
Connected services trials include:
Remote Charging capabilities allow owners to check charging status, start or stop charging remotely, and edit charging schedules through the Toyota App. The app also provides an easy-to-use map for locating charging stations near your current location or along your planned route.
