This is only an overview of the possible functions of Toyota Connected Services. Introduced on select 2020 models, they are now available on multiple 2021 models but may differ somewhat from model to model. Here is a general overview of the different technologies present in Toyota Connected Services *.
Toyota App
The Toyota app is downloaded to your mobile device and allows you to access the various functions of the connected services system including the Remote Connect system. You can also view your vehicle's reports on your Toyota app. Essentially, it is the Toyota Connected Services command centre.
Remote Connect
With Remote Connect, you can use your smartphone to start the engine, lock or unlock the doors, check the condition of the windows and the sunroof, find your vehicle, set conditions for a guest driver including maximum speed, check the fuel level, and several other functions. Remote Connect is integrated with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto essentially mirror your smartphone to your vehicle's centre display. You can use many functions that you are used to including Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps. Plus, you can play music from your smartphone or compose text messages.
Navigation with Destination Assist
Navigation with Destination Assist is much more than just a navigation system. You are connected to a real person who can help you with your journey by finding a destination for you and sending you points of interest along your route.
Safety Connect
Safety Connect is there for you should the unexpected happen. With Safety Connect, you can contact an agent using the SOS button who can help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can use this button to contact roadside assistance or obtain emergency services. In addition, Safety Connect can locate a stolen vehicle in addition to sending help immediately if a crash with airbag deployment is detected.
Service Connect
The Service Connect system allows us to check the condition of our vehicle in real time and to obtain health checks. Additionally, if a warning light turns on, you will be notified.
SiriusXM
SiriusXM is satellite radio that gives you access to diverse content including numerous music stations categorized by genre, current affairs and sports programming, child friendly programming and many other types of stations.
