During its first tour of our market (2009-2017), the Toyota Venza was a hit. It is making a big comeback this year after a short absence. It has been completely redesigned and it is than ever. Here's what you need to know about the new 2021 Toyota Venza.
Efficient
The Venza 2021 is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine. An electric motor at the rear provides all-wheel drive, while two electric units support conventional mechanics at the front. In total, the powertrain offers 219 horsepower. Average consumption is estimated at 6.1 liters per 100 kilometers, which is extraordinary. In the city, it even goes down to 5.7 liters per 100 kilometers.
Constant Grip
The all-wheel drive system means that you always have a guardian angel ready to help. In normal driving conditions, power is distributed to the front wheels. However, if there is a loss of grip, 80% of the torque can be transferred to the rear wheels.
Different driving modes are available to give us an adapted driving experience, including Sport and Eco settings. An EV mode even allows us to switch to all-electric driving for short distances or when it is convenient to drive at low speed without making noise.
Luxury Without the Price
There are three versions of the Toyota Venza, the LE, XLE and Limited. Each comes with the Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 safety suite, which offers six features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic low beams, and frontal collision alert with pedestrian and car detection.
Other features include wireless charging that comes standard. Heated seats and Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa apps come standard as well. The other versions offer a range of other luxury features.
